iOS 7 update shows code for fingerprint scanner
With rumours claiming that the new
edition of the Apple iPhone coming in the next few weeks, the iOS 7 is
being readied for the launch. While it is said that the fingerprint
scanner would find its way on the next iPhone, the change log of the iOS
7 update has confirmed the facility for the future devices.
According to developers who have searched
the new additions in the update for the iOS 7, they have found evidence
that the future Apple phones would indeed support fingerprint scanners.
The update package contained a folder named “BiometricKitUI”, the code
inside which expressly mentions the fingerprint scanner.
As per the code, the set-up process for a
fingerprint scanner embedded in the iPhone Home button is described.
Further, the set-up tutorial would have a photo showing a person holding
an iPhone with their left hand while touching the Home button with
their thumb and a fingerprint that changes colour during the setup
process.
It is said that the iPhone 5S was delayed
mainly due to the fingerprint scanner. Now that the service has been
pushed into the code, we wonder if it is fully prepared to launch on the
upcoming iPhone which is expected to be released over the next few
weeks.
