Chrome 28 for Android is here; features support for right-to-left languages

Google has released a stable update to Chrome for Android devices. The updated browser features a better layout support for right-to-left languages including Arabic, Farsi, and Hebrew, in addition to the existing built-in translation bar.
Out, finally!
Out, finally!

If you use the Chrome browser on your Android tablet now, updating to Chrome 28 will let you browse in full screen. The updated browser is already available for Chrome desktop users. One of the main and possibly the most important feature that Google has added to the Chrome 28 is the addition of a notification centre. This feature is available only on the Windows platform for now. The notification centre will let you streamline your notifications better. From what can be seen, the notifications that users get from their apps and extensions can now be formatted to display text as well as images.

As part of this stable release, expect an experimental data compression service over the next few days. Dan Alcantara, Software Engineer at Google explains that the experimental service will help users save bandwidth, load pages faster, and browse securely on their phone or tablet. These additions aside, Chrome 28 includes a bunch of stability and performance improvements too. Chrome 28 for Android will be rolled out in the next few days. The notification centre will not only display content like lists and images, but will also allow users to act directly on them. With this new update Google Chrome notifications will show up without launching the browser too.
