DIMTS introduces Delhi Transit Bus Info app for Android

The Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS) has launched a new app called the Delhi Transit Bus Info app. The app gives you detailed information regarding bus schedules, timings, etc. The Android app is also available as a web app at the DIMTS homepage.

The Delhi Transit Bus Info app will provide information to commuters about which buses to take to reach their destination. DIMTS is also trying to implement boards on bus stops displaying information on buses, timings, etc. The move is a part of Delhi government to make bus travelling easier for commuters. The app will provide information on cluster buses only for now.

The DIMTS application provides a complete solution to passengers to get all the information at one click of a mouse, in real time. The app will provide relief to passengers, providing information about where the bus stop is, apart from bus timings.

A DIMTS spokeswoman said, "The app is available for only orange-coloured Delhi Transit buses, except for the Trip Planner feature which gives data on DTC bus routes too. The information for DTC operated buses for the rest of the features will soon be integrated into the application."

Users can go to DIMTS website (www.dimts.in) and click on ‘Bus information for orange coloured Delhi Transit buses’ or view the application on ‘Delhi Transit Bus Info’ in Beta version from the Google play store. Users can also give feedback on the application through a form available on both the website as well as the Android app, in the hope of further improvements. DIMTS will also be launching the app soon on iOS, Blackberry and Symbian platforms.
