BioShock Infinite coming to Mac on August 29

Irrational Games' critically acclaimed FPS BioShock Infinite is making its way to Mac on August 29. According to 9to5Mac, the game is being ported and published for Mac by Aspyr Media, known for working on many Mac ports, including those for Civilization 5, Borderlands 2 and Rage. The game is available for both Mac and PC gamers on Steam.

If you've already bought the Windows version of the game, don't worry. You'll get the Mac version of the game for free. This works vice versa too, with those who buy the game for Mac also getting the Windows version fo the game. Mac gamers can also pick up the Season Pass for $19.99, which also works the same way, with buyers getting both versions.

The Season Pass will include three story-centric DLCs. The first two of these DLCs are set to be a two-part story. Dubbed Burial At Sea, Irrational revealed information about it just recently. The first part of the two-parter will see players take on the role of Booker DeWitt once again as they explore the city of Rapture before its nosedive into destruction. The second part of the DLC, which will be released at a later date, will have players control Elizabeth. Both parts of Burial At Sea, along with a third story-centric DLC, will be available separately for $15 (Rs 900 approx) and are part of the Season Pass, which is available for $20 (Rs 1,200 approx).

Here is the official description of BioShock Infinite: "Indebted to the wrong people, with his life on the line, veteran of the U.S. Cavalry and now hired gun, Booker DeWitt has only one opportunity to wipe his slate clean. He must rescue Elizabeth, a mysterious girl imprisoned since childhood and locked up in the flying city of Columbia. Forced to trust one another, Booker and Elizabeth form a powerful bond during their daring escape. Together, they learn to harness an expanding arsenal of weapons and abilities, as they fight on zeppelins in the clouds, along high-speed Sky-Lines, and down in the streets of Columbia, all the while surviving the threats of the air-city and uncovering its dark secret."
