Free Wi-Fi for a whole month!

The interesting bit is that through August, Skype Premium users will be able to access Skype Wi-Fi at zero cost. “If you’re headed to the beach or have a business trip, you can email, check the news, make your family jealous with awesome vacation photos, laugh at LOLcats, and yes, even chat on Skype totally free at anyplace Skype Wi-Fi is offered,” reads the official post by Skype’s Todd Haugen.

Microsoft-owned Skype is a highly popular VoIP service in the world and is available on a variety of platforms. Last month, the Skype Android got a major UI redesign even as it passed a whopping 100 million downloads on the world's most popular mobile platform. Version 4.0 of Skype on Android now has an interface that is more in tune with the company’s Windows Phone application. Derek Snyder, Head of Mobile Marketing at Skype, explained that the redesign was undertaken keeping in mind that the app needs to be faster and easier to use, especially when you’re simply trying to fire away a quick message.
